Agloco referral tips.

Wednesday, July 18, 2007

As i have posted before, click here to read it. there are alot of ways to increase your referrals. It is optional for Agloco members but it would really increase your earnings if you have referrals. Get 5 referrals and double your earnings (according to simmons-report). Get 25 and well, get 5x your earnings.

Here, im going to break it down for you, Plain and Simple.

1. Use the People you know by first names.

Ito yung mga taong kilala mo personally. May it be your GF, BF, mga bros and sis. Sa mga may frat at sor dyan, this is a great way to increase your referrals. Sa mga may organizations, perfect opportunity for your members. At sa mga wala nman. . well, take your time thinking about your next move to increase your referral.

2. Talk to them about the importance of referring more people.

Agloco is on its beta stage yet. It needs all the members it can get to have a huge success. Tell them about the earning opportunity is multiplied to several folds if they get refferals. A member w/o any referrals would get $100-$200 per year. Imagine if you have 20 or more referrals. Pamasko na yun! hehe

3. E-mail your friends and those on your YM, MSN or ICQ.

On my case, i have 80 contacts on my YM. I e-mailed all of them. Explaining thouroughly the importance of referrals and the opportunity theyre about to have. well, out of 80, 66 said no or didnt reply at all. But 14 said yes and they did sign up and verbalized they will help build agloco by having more referrals. Imagine if this 14 would have 5 referrals each. now, you have 70 on your referrals. And that's alot of referrals for you!

Help on how to set up your e-mail and sample e-mails. click here.

4. Select people whom you know has a great zeal

Well, sa lahat ng friendster nyo, at least merong isa or dalawang taong alam nyong mas makakatulong sa inyo. (i.e. bloggers, liaison officers etc) they are your foundations. As for mine, ang Kaibigan kong si Jai ang sandigan ko. i love you pare.hehe

5. Be creative!

After all of this, it is your own diskarte na. There are a gazillion more ways to have refferals. You just have to suite your preference and comfort. Kayo na po bahala.

Pinoys send 500 million text messages a day.

Filipinos sent about 500 million text messages each day in 2006, twice the daily rate in 2005, the National Telecommunications Commission said Tuesday.

Edgardo Cabarios, director of the NTC’s common carrier and authorization division, attributed the doubling of sent messages to promotional offers from mobile phone service providers such as unlimited text, voice call discounts and the rising number of subscribers.

NTC data showed that the country’s mobile phone subscriber base expanded by 23 percent to 42.87 million last year from 34.8 million in 2005.

Cabarios said the NTC expects subscriber growth to continue.

Smart Communications Inc. reported 17.2 million subscribers; Globe Telecom, 16.7 million; Pilipino Telephone Corp. 6.97 million and Digital Telecommunications Philippines Inc. (Digitel), 2 million.

Among the new smaller companies, Next Mobile has 22,411 subscribers; Extelcom, 10,374; and Connectivity Unlimited Resources Enterprise (CURE), 1,000.

Cabarios added that strong economic growth and remittances from overseas Filipino workers (OFW) boosted consumer spending and the acquisition of mobile phone handsets.

The number of landline subscribers also rose by 7 percent to 3.63 million last year from 3.37 million in 2005.

S.hut's Question about Agloco Payout.

Silkenhut asked me about Payout of Agloco. Here's my answer. Check it out.

Silkenhut's question.

Monday, July 16, 2007

Earlier, when i checked on my blog. I read about Silkenhut's question about any news regarding Agloco's Payout.

Visit his site here.

Well, yeah. Payout of Agloco would largely depend on how many members of Agloco are doing good and in a flow, how much the company will earn. Regarding the When part, Agloco is yet to establish a stable company like myspace or youtube. Though its getting there pretty quickly.

Let me post here an except of the opost from agloco's main blog.

When are the cash payouts going to begin?

The simple answer is that it depends on “when AGLOCO makes enough money to both pay Members and be a sustainable business”. But, by using the Viewbar you are accumulating credit towards the cash payments right now (more on that below). I have spoken about this on the blog twice before:

Also, as some Members have correctly pointed out, AGLOCO’s early revenue will not immediately translate into cash distributions to Members. While we do not know how large our initial revenue will be, we do know that AGLOCO has operating costs to pay. It is important to remember that AGLOCO is not a “get rich quick scheme”, and we maintain that the most prudent way to build AGLOCO as a sustainable company is to calibrate Member distributions to company earnings. As such, the cash payouts will not begin until there is a comfortable balance between AGLOCO’s free cash flow and AGLOCO’s expenses. It is important to add that all Members will begin to accumulate hours from when they first start using the Viewbar (and referral hours will also be earned). Those hours will not be wasted. Both overall hours and monthly hours will be used in determining distributions to Members.

Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs). Therefore, please do not expect a check after the first couple of months as it will take time to collect revenue from advertisers and this revenue must exceed costs in order to make cash distributions to Members. We will be keeping Members informed of our financials and you can visit the Official company blog at http://blog.agloco.com for the latest updates.

AGLOCO will be keeping Members informed of our financials (after a few months, when we start getting realistic numbers) so they can track our progress on this. At this point, if our new ad system is operational in August, we should be able to give meaningful numbers for September.

This may seem a little strange but i care less anyways.lol

I have been having problem with my MS word application. I dont think its a technical problem, a bug, or even a noob-induced problem. There's an outline,a margin, a demarcation line on my MS Word app. I think one of my bros (or maybe me) caused this. Weve been having this seemingly unsolvable dilemma for quite sometime now and i am really hoping you guys could lend a helping hand here. .

This is what it looks like:

Any of you guys how i could get rid of this margin? i tried every method i could think of but to no avail. .

Thanks in advance!

Japeth Aguilar Coming Along nicely.

Tuesday, July 10, 2007

It didn't take long for Japeth Japeth Aguilar (206-C) to receive his “Welcome to American basketball” introduction.

Japeth Aguilar, who transferred to Western Kentucky from Ateneo de Manila in the Philippines last August, hadn't been used to the physical brand of basketball played in the United States but received a quick crash course.

The 6-foot-9 Japeth Aguilar was standing at the free-throw line in a scrimmage last year when a sprinting teammate ran into him. And according to Japeth Aguilar, the crash knocked him 15 feet away from where he originally stood.

“Oh my goodness,” Japeth Aguilar recalled. “When I first started, I used to get bumped and I'd be knocked out of control. It was a really big adjustment.”

It was a year of adjustments for Japeth Aguilar last season - from getting used to the physical play and style of American basketball to becoming comfortable with a new culture.

The Pampanga, Phillipines, native adjusted while redshirting at Western last year because of his transfer. But when he takes the court for the Hilltoppers this fall for his junior season, he'll be a player acclimated to his new surroundings.

“Last year was huge because the way he was practicing and playing from where he came from is nothing like what we do here,” WKU coach Darrin Horn said. “For him to be able to adjust and to be able to be a foreign player and adjust to life, language and academics here, he's made great strides.”

And on the court, those strides include getting used to physical play. Japeth Aguilar said he's gained 10 pounds since arriving at Western but is still a few pounds short of his ultimate goal of 220 pounds.

“There's so many more stronger and athletic players,” Japeth Aguilar said. “But I've gotten stronger with extra workouts in the weight room. Now, when I get bumped, I maintain my base.”

Even if Japeth Aguilar went through plenty of adjustments last year, the Hilltoppers could have used Japeth Aguilar last season.

There were plenty of times when Western's void inside was obvious. Western hopes that hole - because of Japeth Aguilar, other newcomers and the development of returning players - won't be so noticeable this season.

“No question (Japeth Aguilar could have been a factor),” Horn said. “At 6-9, how many nights did we feel like we just needed an athletic body out there - to bang and match length with North Texas, with South Alabama in our conference? We hope that's something he's definitely going to bring - an option in that area.”

Japeth Aguilar is expected to bring Western an imposing post presence.

During his sophomore season at Ateneo de Manila, he wasn't much of a scorer.

He averaged only 5.7 points and 5.3 rebounds, but he also averaged 3.2 blocks per game.

“He's got things that are hard to teach - height and length and terrific athleticism,” Horn said. “He's a terrific shot blocker and rebounds well.”

And Horn said Japeth Aguilar doesn't lack offensive skills.

“He's a guy that's got good skill level - can pass and catch, shoots the ball well, puts the ball on the floor really well for a player his size. He's coming along nicely.”

Japeth Aguilar has waited patiently for his opportunity to play while having to make a strong commitment to play basketball in the United States. Japeth Aguilar is reportedly the first Filipino-born basketball player to sign a Division I scholarship.

The route here began with his father Peter, who played in Philippine Basketball Association, before moving to the United States. Eventually, Japeth came over and participated in a summer camp with hopes of landing a scholarship offer.

“It's been a long wait for me,” Japeth Aguilar said. “From going through summer training and not playing last year, it's been a long wait. But it also helped me a lot.”

SmartBro aint so "brotherly" at all. . .

Hey everyone!

As you might have noticed, i havent been able to post in a while. I humbly apologize to everyone who expected alot from this blog. All fingers point only to one direction: SmartBro service.

Well, This is my side of the story. . .

Ive been very exasperated with how smartBro is extending its services. Tommorow, (wednesday) would mark the first week of the inconvenience it cost us. I lost my internet connection last wednesday for no reason. No reason at all. Well, aside from a slight rainfall and a few barking dogs outside. (if they, make these things as a reason, hell, ill be pissed) I tried calling the tech support hotline for almost a week. And each time, they would just bluntly say "hintay lang po tayo sir". Well, hintay is one thing, waiting for eternity is completely different thing.

they finally said they were sending someone to check my connection yesterday. And true to their words, (thank god!) they came today and fixed the whole thing (another amen!).

The reason?? They still have to tell me. Well, it doesnt matter uch to me now. As long as i have the connection. But maybe next time, they should be more sensitive.

Smartbro aint your average bro, afterall.

Agloco Payout FAQ

The simple answer is that it depends on “when AGLOCO makes enough money to both pay Members and be a sustainable business”. But, by using the Viewbar you are accumulating credit towards the cash payments right now (more on that below). I have spoken about this on the blog twice before:

Also, as some Members have correctly pointed out, AGLOCO’s early revenue will not immediately translate into cash distributions to Members. It is important to remember that AGLOCO is not a “get rich quick scheme”, and we maintain that the most prudent way to build AGLOCO as a sustainable company is to calibrate Member distributions to company earnings.

How are you going to pay me if you don’t have any of my payment information?

Before the cash payments begin we will verify your billing information and ask you to specify how you would like to be paid. We currently plan to have several forms of payment available, including check, direct deposit, and PayPal. Remember that only one account per Member is allowed.

Is there going to be a “minimum” payout level achieved in my account like many affiliate programs have?

Yes, a minimum will be required to keep transfer costs down. All sums not distributed are accumulated in the Member’s AGLOCO account until the minimum is reached.

How are the cash payments going to work?

So, here are three of the potential ways AGLOCO can pay Members. As you know, when you use the Viewbar you accumulate hours (currently up to 5 hours/month, and plus a credit of referral hours at a 25% rate). These hours, both your monthly totals and your overall accumulated hours, are the basis for cash distributions.

Monthy Viewbar hours: Based on the hours you and your referrals surf each month, you will get a share of the “distribution pie”. Your share is equal to your percentage of the total hours accumulated by all Members (including referral hours). How would this work? Here is a hypothetical example. Suppose in a given month AGLOCO distributes $100,000 for that month’s hour accumulation. Also suppose that the total hours all Members have accumulated that month is 1,000,000 hours. This means that AGLOCO would pay $0.10 for each hour you are credited with that month. So in this example if you had accumulated (yourself plus referrals) 500 hours that month, you would be paid $50.

Total Viewbar hours: AGLOCO may also pay in the same manner as above based on total accumulated hours. This would “weight” the payment more towards those Members who joined and began accumulating hours earlier (including the time before the cash payouts have begun).

AGLOCO buying Hours for Cash: Here’s how it would work. AGLOCO would set a price per hour (say, $0.15), and we allow Members to sell their hours back to us at that rate. There would likely be a minimum number of hours you could sell. For instance, AGLOCO may only allow you to sell in 100-hour blocks. Hours that you sell would be deducted from your total accumulated hours for future distributions.

I realize that I have not given a concrete answer to “what an hour is worth”, “what a referral is worth”, or “the date you will be paid”. I wish I could. But, I maintain that to keep AGLOCO a sustainable venture, we must calibrate cash payouts to our actual positive cash flow, lest we suffer the same fate as AllAdvantage.

Ken Kuester made a great comment reflecting this a few weeks ago. He said:
For all of you that are asking for calculations for how much pay, just consider this. There is truly no way anyone can calculate with all variables. The pay is dependent upon the advertisers paying agloco, the search engines paying agloco, the merchants paying agloco the commissions on the sales to agloco members, and any other sources of income. This money all goes into a pool, of which agloco management gets 10% and the rest is divided among the owners/members. There you have it. income is variable, percentages for management and the owners ia fixed. membership is variable. These variable parts will change by the minute. No reasonable mathmatician will attempt to arrive at meaningful calculations with two massive variables and one fixed quantity. All the mathmatician can do at this point is offer statistical possibilities. In the short view, every person you sponsor now cuts down on the value of the cash pool individually. In the longer term, more members means agloco can charge more for the ads and make the cash pool larger. As far as clicking the ads, That will create cash pool money when the few make purchases and the merchant pays agloco the commission on the sale. In at least some cases, the member will immediately benefit from any discounts that are given to the agloco membership. Regards searches, I do not know what deal agloco has with google or the other search engines at this time, but I do know that as the membership goes up, so does the price google and the others will pay agloco for each search performed. Google currently pays aol 10 cents per search performed. Best I can tell you is the per hour pay will fall into a range somewhere between .00001 cents and 1,000.00 dollars per hour.( both top and bottom values estimated with the fact that everyone is so desparate for promises that poor Brian cannot say anything without it being considered a set in concrete promise.) I intentionally used extremes. Try to keep your shirt on and wait and see what materializes.

Wait a second, what about “shares”?

Our website talks about paying Members in “cash and shares”. As I’ve said before, I need to stay away from talking about “shares” in this blog. The lawyers would kill me if I went anywhere near talking about it because it is too easy to unwittingly violate a country’s securities laws.
#

AGLOCO is not a “get rich quick” scheme and never will be. By steadily using the Viewbar and building a sustainable business, we can make sure that Members will get distributions for years and years as we improve the usefulness of the Viewbar as a part of each Member’s desktop.

Team Pilipinas Basketball Triumphs Over USA!

Monday, July 2, 2007

Team Pilipinas won over the Athletes In Action USA team 67-72 courtesy of the inspired ball game by point guard Jimmy Alapag (178-G-77, college: Cal.St.-San Bernar.) (19pts), center Mick Pinisi (11pts), and swing man Gabe Norwood (196-G/F-85) (7pts). The game was close all through out as none of the two teams was able to lead by more than 10 points. AIA dominated the boards and steals department, but was not a threat at all in the perimeter area, which made the RP perimeter defense look good. Don Don Hontiveros and Mark Caguioa (188-G-79, college: Glendale CC (AZ)) also stepped up for the RP team's cause.

Tyler Wilkerson (203-F), Zack Gibson (208-C, college: Rutgers), and Todd Hendley (206-F-84) top scored for AIA with 10/10/11 pts. respectively.

Ren Ren Ritualo did not see action. Eric Menk and James Yap did not suit up.

Scoring per quarter:

RP 23/16/6/27=72

AIA 25/6/15/21=67
Source: Asia-Basket

I was fortunate enough to watch the game on ESPN. And i have to tell you, national pride is is an intense overwhelming feeling.

At the start of the game, Mick Pinisi hit a 3-pointer and much to my surprise, he now got lean and mean. He was aggressive and determined to get every rebound and crash the board for it.

Gabe Norwood, for those who dont know him, he is a late addition to the team who played in Division 1 in NCAA back in USA. He's tall, he's athletic, he's fast, and he gives a style of play that suites the team very well. Almost a Chris Bosh style of play.

Mark Caguioa, (kagoya as the american commmentator would say it. lol )
Chipped in crucial points in the 4th quarter despite being blocked twice in the game opening.

No one exemplifeid excellence in the game than the smallest person on the team and on the tournament. Jimmy Alapag, lightning fast, fearless and emotional. He made a perfect performance by hitting a crucial 3 out of 3 from outside in the late game, 2 fearless lay-ups and 6-7 from the line. The american whos guarding him was always 2 steps behind.

Overall, Team Pilipinas showed that they are hungry. Hungry for pride, Hungry for redemption, HUNGRY FOR GLORY. They showed the biggest asset a Filipino could show in the basketball arena, and that is HEART. We may be small in stature, but we got the Biggest heart of them all.

Mabuhay ang Team Pilipinas!

The Billiard King triumphs in his First Year!

After viewing and fascinating about a blog this past few days, I decided to write about it. Anyways, this is the core concept of Agloco-Pilipinas stands---" Be a Filipino for Others".

About the Author:

Anitokido as he fondly calls himself is a financial analyst and an information scientist. At least thats what is written on his blog. But based from the posts he had both recently and in the past, anybody could tell that anitokid is a pool-enthusiast, a family-man, a proud Pinoy and a loving father. ( you should read about his post about her daughter's success) Truly, he is a force to be reckoned with.

About the Site:

The site is supposed to be a sports blog but its contents has wider borders than you think. Aside from being a sports blog, it is also a Filipino blogger's blog, a news blog, an entertainment blog and most stunningly enough, a family blog. What's so fascinating about it is that it integrates everything into a harmonious mix of thought, feeling and pride. Its so integrated that you almost forget that it is in fact, a sports blog.

To Anitokid, my sincerest respect to you.

More power to you and your Blog. . .

AND I KID YOU NOT

Increase your referrals---Earn more from Agloco

Getting more referrals is by far the most used and abused techniques on the Internet. If you use it wisely, perhaps you are not only going to get more referrals but you also get to have Friends from people whom you refer to a program.

The following are the methods i use to increase my referrals. Though i dont get to do it more often because of my academic endeavors, these techniques might come in handy for you especially if your looking forward to increasing your Agloco referrals.

1.) REFER YOUR FRIENDS

Nothing is is more popular than this one. There's always a friend who would be there to come and lend us a hand. Whether its your best friend, girl friend or boyfriend (though im getting a bit out of the focus), they are youre SUREST downline referrals. After all, what are friends are for? right? ;)

2.) USE SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES

Now, here comes another effective way of having ore referrals. Use you friendster,myspace,hi5 or other networking sites to your advantage. Use the shoutout button or sending messages to all your friends always gives you a fair amount of referrals after the day.

3.) USE FORUM SIGNATURES

This is a method that works for most people if done correctly. If youre a member of forums like kalibog.com or other networks, you can edit your signature and put them into your advantage. Just use a catchy line or a picture but dont over do it, it might turn tides into your disadvantage.

4.) E-Mail

E-mail has more uses than you think it has. If used appropriately, this would just increase your referrals like a BigBang. But take note, you have to e-mail people whom you know personally or it will be considered spamming. This will not just ruin the name of Agloco but from you too. So, use it properly.

These were just some of the methods and techniques that i have tried myself. They are proven to be effective if done properly. Just dont forget to be polite, be honest and be sincere about it. Again, individuality is the name of the game, come up with a catchy, persuasive but not intrusive techniques.

Good luck!

Let me know about your styles and share it to the other users of Agloco-Pilipinas by posting a comment.
